SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY!
Position: Special Events Truck Driver
Description
This exciting opportunity is for those who are energetic and love to travel! Maple Lodge Farms is looking for a Class AZ driver to drive their new and exciting one of a kind Special Events tractor and trailer on a cross-Canada promotions tour! This team will do local events in Ontario for the month of June – then for the month of July head out West on a 5 week tour returning to Ontario for more local events for the remainder of the summer season. There will be some part-time work during the fall and winter months.
Promote and showcase a variety of Maple Lodge Farms chicken products at various community, grocery and trade events via a unique Special Events vehicle. Along with a diverse team of individuals you will interact with our valued customers with confidence and an energetic attitude promoting the multiple benefits and specifics of Maple Lodge Farms’ products.
Position Details
Responsible for all aspects of the tractor and trailer including driving, set up, updating logbook and general maintenance
Promotion of Maple Lodge Farms products
Food safety practices (training will be provided on safe food handling)
Preparation of various menu items (training will be provided on specific food preparation and presentation)
Duration: May 2010 – September 2010 with the possibility of part time hours during the winter season
Minimum 40 hours per week during peak season (May long weekend – September)
Uniform provided
Qualifications – Eligible candidates will possess the following:
Energetic, mature and professional persona
Ability to adapt within a diverse team of individuals
Confidence and capability of interacting with the public in order to thoroughly promote company products
Available weekends and the willingness to travel overnight (expenses paid)
Valid Ontario AZ license with a clean driving record
